Boy, 16, ‘hit over head’ with wrench by attacker in tracksuit

An Oxfordshire boy was attacked and hit over the head with a wrench.

The incident occurred at around 10.30pm on Friday, October 18 on High Street in Banbury.

Whilst walking to Banbury Fair with his friends, a 16-year-old male was hit over the head with what is believed to be a wrench, causing injury.

The offender is described as a white male, 15 years old, short brown hair, approximately 6ft tall and skinny build.

Thames Valley Police say he was wearing a dark-coloured tracksuit.

The force are now appealing for information following the assault in Banbury

Investigating officer PC Sean Allwood, based at Banbury police station, said, “We would like to speak to anyone who witnessed the incident or has CCTV. Please come forward.

"If you have any information around this incident, please contact the Thames Valley Police enquiry centre on 101 quoting reference 43240503638 or online.

“If you do not want to talk to the police, you can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously, on 0800 555 111.”
