Not long after, the teenage girl's father arrived at the scene.

A physical altercation occurred during which the 37-year-old was allegedly hit in the head by what 7NEWS understands to be a bolt cutter.

The two males fled the scene on the moped.

The father was taken to Royal Perth Hospital with serious head injuries. As of Friday morning, he is in a stable condition.
