Rank and file Machinists slam Boeing's offer; strike appears imminent - In Brief
Oct 25, 2024
On Sunday, we shared the details of Boeing’s “historic contract offer” on The Cascadia Advocate, In Brief’s sister publication. The reaction since the publication of the offer from rank and file Machinists has been overwhelmingly negative, and IAM District 751 chief Jon Holden now says he expects his members will vote to strike. Boeing management will be forced to significantly sweeten its offer if it wants the work stoppage to be short. Restoring Machinists’ traditional pensions would be a key concession the company could make, but probably won’t want to make.
Here are several stories about the reaction to the offer.
